Who is your AOA doctor? How long have you been with the practice?

Dr. Gerald Pass, 12 years. I started seeing him in his very small, dark office on Florence Blvd and have watched the practice grow to what it is now.

What do you like about your AOA doctor? Why do you use this practice?

I love Dr. Pass’ sense of humor. I normally only go to the doctor if there is something wrong, so he always makes sure to put my mind at ease no matter how silly my issues are. I worked as a Medical Assistant for 12 years and can honestly say that he is a doctor with such wonderful bedside manner. He is honest and gets straight to the point. When you walk in to an office and you recognize every face, it goes to show what a wonderful man he is. Dedicated employees say a lot about the person they work for. I have recommended many of my friends and family to his practice over the years and will continue to do so.

Dr. Pass’ office has always been accommodating with appointments. The staff are all friendly and know you by name. Customer service is always key in an office and these girls definitely have what it takes to keep the office going. They always make sure that I have what I need and after my recent procedures, made sure I was comfortable and had all questions answered.

Can you tell us a little about your family? Are you married? Do you have children?

I have been happily married for 13 years, have been with my husband for 20 years. Yes, I married my high school sweet heart. We have 2 beautiful children, thanks to Dr. Pass: Marissa, 11 years old and David, Jr., 4 years old.

Do you own any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

We have 1 dog (toy poodle), her name is Paris and 2 fish, whose names are still unknown. 

Do you play any instruments? If so, what kind and how long have you played?

Unfortunately I don’t have a musical talent. My husband gets credit for the musical ear that my children have.

What languages do you speak?

I am ashamed to say that I only speak English.

Do you have any hobbies? Please give us a few details about what you like about your hobby/hobbies.

I love to scrapbook and just spend time with my family. Vacations and just simple weekend getaways captured by photography are what I love. I know I drive my husband crazy with the hundreds of pictures I will take at every party or get together. We should buy stock in Walgreen’s photo department.  I just hate to miss out on any moment.

What is your favorite movie?

My all time favorite movie is the Goonies. I have now sucked my daughter into it, so whenever it comes on we have to watch it. We know all the words.

What is your favorite food?

Being Hispanic I love Mexican food. I grew up with a grandmother who spoiled us rotten. She made sure to always feed us even though we had just eaten. There is nothing like homemade tortillas and a fresh pot of beans. I am definitely paying for this now. Now that I am getting older the tortillas and beans don’t just fall off the hips like they use to. 

Do you have a favorite quote or motto?

I made a career change about 7 years ago to be able to spend more time with my daughter. After that change we were blessed with our son. Now that I work in the schools I realize how blessed we truly are. I really don’t have a motto to live by. I just live life to its fullest. I am so very blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy children. A very loving best friend, my husband, and a life that I am very thankful for. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
