AOA Patient Profile - Dana McDonald - Arizona Wellness Center for Women

Dana McDonald

Dana McDonald has lived in Arizona since she was seven years old. She’s been a patient of Dr. Nancy Harris at the Arizona Wellness Center for Women for more than 13 years. She originally found the practice through a referral from friends who “had nothing but good things to say about them.” She “absolutely loves” everyone on the staff, including all of the doctors, nurse practitioners, and office staff. Dana believes she may have even higher standards than most people, since her father is a physician who started a practice, which gives her a unique perspective on how a good practice should function.

Dana has been married for over 7 years and, in addition to her real estate business, is the busy mom of 3 boys (ages 1, 4 and 5), all of whom Dr. Harris delivered. Another member of the family is their 15-year-old dog, Aspen.

She studied French for seven years, but these days she doesn’t have much opportunity to speak it. And between work and her three children she doesn’t have much time for hobbies, but she loves doing just about anything outdoors with her husband and children, and she has a long history of volunteer work with various nonprofits. Whenever they get the chance, she and her husband love to travel, “sometimes alone and other times with our boys.”

When we asked her to name her favorite movie, her answer was one every mom can relate to. “With three boys age 5 and under, the only movies I see either rhyme, sing or are cartoon, but I still enjoy them.”

Her favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Album and she just loves Italian food. (Don’t we all?!)

Thank you, Dana, for letting us get to know you just a little better.
