Join AOA in Raising Breast Cancer Awareness by supporting the Tutu Project

We challenge all AOA offices and our patients to join us in supporting The Tutu Project. It’s all about a man, his wife’s battle against breast cancer and a pink tutu that brings hope… and helps raise funds for families with breast cancer. Over the last twelve years, Bob Carey, a New York City based photographer, has taken self-portraits in a pink tutu to raise breast cancer awareness in honor of his wife, Linda. Through Linda’s cancer, they have learned that life is good, dealing with it can be hard, and sometimes the very best thing we can do to face another day is to laugh at ourselves, and share a laugh with others.

When you purchase a tutu from The Tutu Project, you are making a donation to The Tutu Project’s non-profit.

We encourage all AOA branches and our patients to purchase and wear a tutu to your local office for Halloween. Patients, feel free to wear your tutu to our office for pictures on the day of your visit this October. Pictures will be posted on our Facebook page and challenges can be made to other non-AOA affiliated offices.

Remember to include a caption with your Facebook photos, such as “We #Dare2Tutu and donated to help fund #TheTutuProject non-profit for women and men with #breastcancer”.
